BLOOD DRIVECapac High School is hosting a blood drive on Friday, May 3 from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM in our small gym. Students who are 17 years of age or older can donate by signing up with Mrs. Palmateer in the office before April 26. The public is welcome --- no appointment is necessary.
Take Pride in..................Our high school band performed at North Branch High School in the District Band Festival recently. How awesome! They received a 1st Division ranking for the 4th year! This year they received all 1's --- like receiving all A's. Congratulations to the band and Mrs. Dodge for a job well done.
Our Mock Trial teams competed in their first regional round at Port Huron on Saturday, February 23. Our 4 teams ALL placed in the top 5 at this event. Individual team members also received many (12 of the 16 awarded) of the trophys that day. Congratulations to the teams and their coach, Mr. Sampson.
Our Vocal music groups also performed and scored extremely well at their Festival competitions on March 28th. Our choir performed during the day and our Select Choir sang that evening. Congratulations to all their members and their director, Mrs. Katherine Fekel.
Our BPA chapter was well represented at the State competition in Grand Rapids last month. All members receive at least one top 20 finish, with Shawn Bruce winning a medal for 1st place in one of his events. Ten students will be traveling to Orlando, Florida, to compete at the National level in May. Good luck to all!!!
Our Robotics team, Metal and Soul, had outstanding results at their recent competition at Kettering University. They made it to the quater finals before being eliminated. They also received the "Entrepreneurship Award" for the second year in a row! Great job! They recently went to Ypsylanti and were presented with the Engineering Inspiration Award and now will be traveling to the National competition in St. Louis, Missouri.
Our school musical, Seussical, was a huge hit. Congratulations to all who participated on a job well done! The play was excellent and the audience enjoyed every minute!
