Spotlight on Our Third Choice!We have a Elementary size salad bar that we use for our Third Choice Theme Bar. This choice is available for the same price you would usually pay for lunch. Week 1 Taco Salad Bar-Students go through the line as usual, getting milk and pick up a cup of cheese and a cup of taco meat, then they go out in the cafeteria to fill their tray with shredded lettuce, tomatoes, sliced olives and peppers, and chips. There are sour cream, salsa, and dressings. Week 2 Chef Salad Bar-Students go through the line as usual, getting milk and pick up a cup of diced ham and a cup of cheese, then they go out in the cafeteria to fill their tray with lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, green peppers, hard boiled egg, sliced olives and banana peppers. There are croutons, bacon bits, and dressings. Week 3 Super Submarine Sandwich Bar-Students go through the line as usual, getting milk and a plain turkey sub, then they go out in the cafeteria to build their sandwich with a choice of cheeses, lettuce, sliced tomatoes, cucumbers, green peppers, sliced olives and banana peppers. There are squirt bottles with condiments and dressings. Week 4 Chicken Caesar Salad Bar-Students go through the line as usual, getting milk and pick up a cup of warm breaded chicken, then they go out in the cafeteria to fill their tray with lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, green peppers, sliced olives and banana peppers. There are croutons and dressings, and breadsticks. Other things that you might have seen on the bars for variety: apples, oranges, grapes, potato salad, macaroni salad, fritos, and dinner rolls. |
